Facility in Gruza, Serbia

Entec Evotec AS has signed an agreement to acquire the Serbian company Fortaco d.o.o. Gruza, securing ownership of a modern production facility with high capacity and solid expertise.

Fortaco d.o.o. is currently part of the Fortaco Group, listed on the stock exchange in Finland. Due to current volumes, Evotec has reached full capacity at its Ulsteinvik facility. This investment is therefore crucial for achieving Entec Evotec AS’s growth ambitions by gaining access to increased production and assembly capacity.

“This is an important strategic move for Evotec, this acquisition represents a major step forward, enhancing our production capacity, improving value chain control, and giving us access to a technically skilled workforce,” says Jogeir Romestrand, CEO of Evotec.

The facility in Serbia is modern covering 10,000 m², established in 2014, and currently employs around 90 people. Production includes winches, deck cranes, A-frames, LARS systems, and other equipment for the maritime and energy industries. As well as the portfolio of customers are major international companies.

Fortaco d.o.o. is certified according to the ISO 9001 quality standard and ISO 14001 environmental standard. The facility is advantageously located with good access to qualified personnel, and only 20 kilometers away from Kragujevac, a city with around 180,000 inhabitants that has a technical university ensuring possibilities for good recruiting.

Evotec plans to further develop the Serbian facility as an integrated part of the company’s continued growth.

Head Office in Ulsteinvik

While Ulsteinvik remains the core of Evotec’s operations, the new facility will complement existing production and increase the group’s overall capacity and agility.

“We are experiencing strong growth and high demand for our solutions, especially in the offshore sector. Meeting growing demand requires not just more capacity, but the flexibility to deliver efficiently and reliably,” says Romestrand.
